Fault tolerance, speed and distance in a sporty look - that's what the new SIM2 series from TaylorMade stands for. While the focus of the first generation SIM Driver was on speed and aerodynamics, the new series focuses entirely on forgiveness. The technologies from the previous model have been adopted and supplemented to make the new SIM2 Max Driver a driver without compromise. The SIM2 Max Driver has a neutral alignment, medium to high launch and medium spin. Technologies: New forged ring construction

• The forged ring construction on the back of the club is the key to adding a new dimension of distance and forgiveness. Forged from lightweight and high-strength aluminum, the construction is milled to an exact shape. This ring combines a massive rear weight for increased forgiveness and connects the full carbon sole and crown, as well as the newly milled rear cup face.

SIM inertia generator

• The asymmetric inertia generator was developed to achieve higher club head speed through advanced geometry and aerodynamic analysis. A lightweight carbon sole allows the redistribution of mass for a lower center of gravity and improved forgiveness.

Speed Injected Twist Face

• For improved ball speed, each head is calibrated with special resin to the exact threshold of the maximum speed limit. In addition, the special face curvature provides support for miss-hits on the heel and toe.

Thru-Slot Speed Pocket

• The flexible Speed Pocket design is engineered to maximize ball speed and provide additional forgiveness on hits in the lower part of the clubface.
