The special feature of the Bionic® golf glove developed by an orthopaedic hand specialist is that it increases the strength of the grip and significantly reduces the effort required for a secure grip thanks to special, anatomically positioned padding. This was also the reason why the USGA originally did not authorise the glove, as it is a relief and can also help to get a good grip. The USGA then recently approved it with special authorisation for medical reasons, as it appears to be the only way for many golfers with osteoarthritis problems to continue playing golf without major problems and/or pain. Movable areas on the back of the hand and fingers make this patented grip enhancer made of washable Cabretta leather extremely flexible.
