After being specially styled for events in California and North Carolina, the Nike Pegasus 89 Golf now makes a trip across the pond in honor of Royal Troon in Scotland. Once again, we see a complete design overhaul with ties to the golf course and Scottish culture in general, complete with unique materials and other thoughtful elements. The heel sports a tartan pattern modeled after traditional Scottish kilts and is complemented by a cork heel just below. The rest of the uniform consists of saddle brown and light gray overlays on an olive green mesh base that pays a decided homage to traditional dress. Other features include special tongue and heel branding, a unique metallic laceubrae and a cartoon graphic of a wind-spitting cloud on the insoles. The Nike Air Pegasus 89 Golf is not only aesthetically pleasing, but also designed for functionality on the golf course. The upper is made of durable materials that can withstand various weather conditions, while the outsole is equipped with strategically placed spikes that provide optimal traction and stability during the swing.
