The CBX 2 is a wedge designed specifically for golfers looking for a wedge that matches their forgiving set of irons.

Most golfers play forgiving cavityback irons because they make their game better. It is therefore surprising that these golfers in particular choose typical tour wedges that are not consciously designed to be forgiving.
Cleveland Golf has developed a premium design to offer such players a better alternative: a classic design with a modern cavityback. This gives golfers the look of a typical tour wedge with the forgiveness and ease of play of a cavityback design.

Hollow cavity design
The hollow cavity design allows mass to be moved from the shaft to the tip of the club head, increasing the moment of inertia (MOI). The result is a previously unimagined forgiveness for short game.

New feel balancing technology
Thanks to the optimised weighting, the centre of gravity is located 3 mm closer to the centre of the club face than with an average wedge. This is also supported by a vibration-damping plastic insert. This allows golfers to benefit from more consistent shots and a better feel for the game.

New Rotex club face
The fourth-generation Rotex club face delivers Cleveland's sharpest Tour Zip grooves yet, providing maximum spin and control for short game.

Tour Zip grooves
A deeper, narrower U-shape with a sharp edge radius in all lofts improves ball contact in a wide range of conditions. The groove structure works in two ways: when hitting from the rough with full power with wedges with lower loft, fliers are prevented; when playing from deeper greenside layers with wedges with higher loft, spin control and consistency are maximised.

3 different sole grinds
Matched to the various lofts, the CBX 2 wedges offer three sole grinds. The V-sole grind in the low lofts supports full shots and prevents the club head from digging into the ground. The S- and C-sole grind in the higher lofts offers more possibilities to open the club face and to perform different strokes.
